Aluat Aguto Mach
“I joined Youth Initiative for Development to build my computer skills in programming and networking. The training helped me become more productive and work better with others. As a result, I was able to secure a job in Nauru and now use my skills to support people in my community, who often come to me for help. The program has truly empowered me both professionally and socially.”
Donel Malenga
“My name is Donel, a 13-year-old student at Youth Initiative for Development (YID) under the ICT program. Through my participation, I have gained valuable graphic design skills, enabling me to create posters, including birthday and event designs, for members of my community. These skills have provided me with an opportunity to earn an income, which I use to support my education by purchasing essential school items such as uniforms, shoes, and books.”

“I am a proud member of Youth Innovation for Development (Y.I.D). I began my journey at Y.I.D in 2023 as a diploma student, later served as a basic computer teacher, and now continue contributing as a committed member. Through my experience, I have witnessed Y.I.D make a significant impact in the community by empowering young people with valuable digital and technical skills. The organization continues to provide important technology courses such as Google and Microsoft Office applications, graphic design, and web development, which help equip learners with practical knowledge and improve their opportunities for education and employment.”
Changkuoth Bang Yiom
“Youth Initiative for Development has played a big role in my life. Through YID, I earned a Diploma in Information Technology, gained practical skills, and built confidence. After graduating, I became a facilitator, teaching other youths and growing my leadership skills. With the support and mentorship I received, I was able to start my own training center, Creative Tech Hub, and a cyber café, where I now help young people learn digital skills and find opportunities. YID didn’t just educate me, it empowered me to become independent and lead others.”
